Best Selling Author Wins Big Against Her Financial Advisor’s Negligence

I thought this was an interesting story. Really gives credence to Phil and Joann’s argument that fiduciary responsibility is needed on Wall Street. Best-selling author Patricia Cornwell was forced to sue her Wall Street-based financial advising firm for negligence in mismanaging her multi-million dollar portfolio. Cornwell claimed in court that the advisors managing her money put her in investments that were all but certain to lose cash. She also argued that these analysts deliberately placed her in certain investment vehicles–many with poor track records–that profited them, but Read More +

Keith Crash Proofing™ Some Chairs

Lisa snapped this great photo from today’s event:   That’s our very own Keith of the Crash Proof Retirement™ Team lifting two chairs at once, proving once again that he is the world’s strongest man. Most people would struggle to lift even a single chair, but Keith is able to lift two at once, with the ease of a comic book superhero. So kudos to you Keith.

The Crash Proof™ Breakfast Club

These donuts were a welcome sight in the break room this morning. For those who don’t know, here at First Senior Financial Group, we do a “Breakfast Club” rotation that I have come to call the Crash Proof™ Breakfast Club. Today’s selection was some donuts, muffins, crossaints and sticky buns from Giant. Thanks to Matt (the other one, not me…) for bringing in such a great spread. Phil Cannella stopped into the break room, and upon seeing the donuts, he remarked that they wouldn’t Read More +

New “Outrage of the Week”

This morning John Connolly of Retirement Media, Inc. recorded a great, yet disturbing, Outrage of the Week for The Crash Proof Retirement Show® with Phil Cannella and Joann Small. His report will bring you back into the twisted world of the Madoff’s and after listening your blood will be boiling.   Listen here

We have a special guest scheduled to appear on the show along with an important segment dedicated to our female listeners and how Joann Small can help guide them through getting more involved with their personal finances. First Senior Financial Group’s Retirement Educators at Yesterday’s Crash Proof™ Event

Here’s a great shot of our team of Retirement Educators, taken by our very own Lisa at yesterday’s Crash Proof Retirement™ Educational Event. I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank our educators for all the hard work they put in and all the great things they do for the retirees that work with First Senior Financial Group. Thanks again, for everything you do for us. Also you can see Mike lurking in the background there, so thanks to the Crash Proof Retirement™ Read More +

Photos from Day 2 of the Crash Proof Retirement™ Educational Event

Since demand for our educational events was so high in the Princeton, New Jersey area, we had to schedule another educational event just to catch the overflow from the last two events. Even so, the crowd is bigger than we could have hoped. Phil Cannella is so excited to be speaking to the retirees in this area and educating them about what they can expect in retirement. Here he is getting ready for the show:   Here you can see Phil Cannella supervising the setup Read More +

Photos from the Crash Proof™ Event at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

As John and Kean mentioned, we will be doing a double-header of events this week at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Princeton, NJ. While at the event, Kean snapped a few pictures for me, and I thought I’d post them here for posterity. Good luck to Phil Cannella, Joann Small and the entire Crash Proof Retirement™ Team at today’s event!       Good luck with the Crash Proof™ event today everyone, I’ll be holding down the fort here at the office 😉

Crash Proof Retirement Brings their Remedies to Princeton NJ

Phil Cannella and Joann Small gave the overflow crowd at Ruth Chris’s Steakhouse a lot to ponder about their retirement nest eggs. With Wall Street doing what it does best–namely fleecing the average investor–it is more important than ever to ‘crash-proof’ thier nest eggs, Phil and Joann told the retirees and soon-to-be-retirees. Many seemed to agree with the crash-proof duo.

Phil Cannella and Joann Small at This Week’s Crash Proof Retirement™ Event

I’m getting kind of lonely back here at the office, with everyone out at the Crash Proof Retirement Event at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse in Princeton, NJ.  Luckily our intrepid reporter Kean was on the scene to snap a few pictures of the guys getting set up.   You can see some members of the Crash Proof Retirement™ Team getting set up for the event, there’s Alex in the foreground, and Stringer talking to Phil Cannella about how to get things situated. Keith is nowhere to Read More +

Phil Cannella’s Event Preparation – Billionaires Dumping American Stocks and Bonds

I want to give a shout-out to Dan Dougherty! He came in today and gave Phil Cannella some very important information about billionaires pulling out of the stock market! Great points to make at tomorrow’s seminar and every week!  Apparently famed people from Warren Buffet to George Soros are selling off their shares and stocks at a mad rate! John is putting this together in bullet points for Phil Cannella to cover at tomorrow’s educational event. Although the market appears to be going up what Read More +

Outrage of the Week Predicts Market Troubles

Saturday’s Crash Proof Retirement Show was one hour because of the Temple basketball game, but long on information for people looking to crash-proof their retirement nest eggs. The Outrage of the Week touched on possible stock market troubles that could be heading investor’s ways this year. With ineffective government regulations and an overheated stock market, the time could be ripe for another crash, according to the Outrage. Stay tuned.

Another Kudos to Phillip Cannella and Joann Small!

As our day was coming to an end at the office, Phil Cannella and Joann Small were just returning from a late lunch. Staying true to their character, the two of them came bearing gifts as they lined up the break room with an assortment of wraps and sandwiches for the office to enjoy. Perhaps the best part of this experience was sharing a caesar wrap with my snack bro. Once again, I am giving Phil and Joann major kudos for their generosity.

Crash Proof™ Baby Shower: Crash Proofing™ Your Baby’s Future

So I’ve solved the mystery of why there were meatballs in the break room today…  As in turns out, some of our office-mates were planning a baby shower for Traci.  So thanks to everyone who brought in food, you made my (and Keith’s) day. Phil Cannella even managed to take some time out of his busy schedule to stop by and join us.  Thanks to everyone who made this event a success. Here’s a few snapshots from the shower, with our lovely model, Kean:   Read More +

This Weekend’s Crash Proof Retirement Show

It’s been a busy week on Wall Street with new allegations surfacing about the banks and their political co-dependants. Listen this weekend as the Outrage of the Week once again takes you through that magical portal called the revolving door exposing another “inside job” done on the average investor.

Crash Proof™ Event: Phil Cannella at Downingtown Country Club

Here’s a shot of Phil Cannella from the Crash Proof™ Educational Event yesterday at Downingtown Country Club.  According to my buddy Kean, Phil and Joann Small were on point as usual, working hard to educate the retirees from the Downingtown Area.  Unfortunately for those of us who were stuck back at the office, there weren’t any leftover meals to bring home.  Oh well, looks like I’ll be eating Peanut Butter and Jelly for lunch again…

New Post on Phil Cannella’s Blog

Hey everyone! I’ve been posting quite a bit on this new blog at www.thetruthaboutcannella.com, and so has Phil Cannella himself.  If you have a few minutes of downtime, check out the site, I’m sure you’ll find some interesting things on there.  This is my latest post about the WOGL 98.1 Loves Our Kids Radiothon benefiting Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia that we were a part of in 2012.  Mike put together this great video with Cadillac Jack talking about how great it was to see our Read More +

Getting Ready for the Next Crash Proof Retirement Educational Event

While loading the Crash Proof Retirement Van for another Crash Proof Retirement Educational Event, I was delighted when I found room for our new camera crane! This new piece of equipment will allow us to capture dramatic shots of Phil Cannella as he educates consumers in or near retirement on safe alternatives to securities. The crane will give us a bird’s eye view  and allow a new camera angle that will enhance Retirement Media, Inc. productions. We, on the production crew, can’t wait to put it to Read More +

Another Great Crash Proof Show 2/2/13

Long Term Care was the topic on Saturday as Phil Cannella and Joann Small welcomed Chuck Kindt certified to the show, a long term care planner. Chuck spoke about the importance of having long term care protection and fielded some calls from listeners concerned about their own long term care futures. It was a very successful show this weekend and I feel that we helped a lot of consumers.

Preparing for The Crash Proof Retirement Show™

We have a lot of great new sound for everyone to hear this weekend on both editions of the Crash Proof Retirement Show™ with Phil Cannella and Joann Small! Keith, Bob Bumbera, and myself are putting the final touches on the guest feedback from Wednesday’s Crash Proof Educational Event at Harry’s Savoy Grille. Many people had such nice things to say about the presentation! I just read John Connolly’s “Outrage of the Week” and he may have outdone his piece from last week so you Read More +

1/26- CPR Show- Great Piece on Mutual Funds

Phil Cannella and Joann Small did a nice informative segment of Saturdays show on the huge risk involved with putting your money in mutual funds. Many who are vested in mutuals are not aware of the 12b1 fees lurking that periodically snatch money away from your original investment. Mutual funds should be considered armed and extremely dangerous to the average investor.

Kudos to Phil Cannella and Joann Small for the Feast!

Kudos to Phil Cannella and Joann Small for the feast in the office today! Just after finishing my delicious turkey BLT from Panera Bread I thought it would be a good time to thank Phil Cannella for buying the office lunch today. However, as we all know, Phil can be very elusive in the busy hours of the work day. So rather than hunt him down, I figured this would be a great opportunity to write the site’s first Kudos. So here goes! Kudos to Read More +

IRA Training

I just completed my continuing IRA training, along with some of my coworkers.  It was great getting the opportunity to learn more about IRAs, and I know that it will help me write better articles for our newsletter and website.  I was also happy to learn more about this topic because it will definitely help me plan when I go to retire. The classes lasted 2 days, 8 hours each day of intensive, detailed IRA studies that really got into the details that most people Read More +
