Kudos to Our Friend Abroad
Given that our friend and colleague, Brook Zimmatore, works on a different continent, his excellent work here at the firm often gets accomplished without a pat on the back from the bulk of us Yankees here in the States. So to express some recognition to our foreign friend, I would like to send a kudos to Brook. Yes, there may be billions of gallons of salt water separating us, but it’s going to take a lot more than that for your work here not to get noticed and Read More +
Another Great Crash Proof Show 2/2/13
Long Term Care was the topic on Saturday as Phil Cannella and Joann Small welcomed Chuck Kindt certified to the show, a long term care planner. Chuck spoke about the importance of having long term care protection and fielded some calls from listeners concerned about their own long term care futures. It was a very successful show this weekend and I feel that we helped a lot of consumers.
Preparing for The Crash Proof Retirement Show™
We have a lot of great new sound for everyone to hear this weekend on both editions of the Crash Proof Retirement Show™ with Phil Cannella and Joann Small! Keith, Bob Bumbera, and myself are putting the final touches on the guest feedback from Wednesday’s Crash Proof Educational Event at Harry’s Savoy Grille. Many people had such nice things to say about the presentation! I just read John Connolly’s “Outrage of the Week” and he may have outdone his piece from last week so you Read More +
Crash Proof™ Event: Harry’s Event Photo
Just wanted to share this picture that Mike sent me today from the Harry’s event on Wednesday. It’s a nice shot of Phil Cannella talking to the crowd. Thanks to the production team for always supplying me with great pics to post on facebook, twitter, and on Phil’s personal blog.
1/26- CPR Show- Great Piece on Mutual Funds
Phil Cannella and Joann Small did a nice informative segment of Saturdays show on the huge risk involved with putting your money in mutual funds. Many who are vested in mutuals are not aware of the 12b1 fees lurking that periodically snatch money away from your original investment. Mutual funds should be considered armed and extremely dangerous to the average investor.
First Senior Financial Client now at RMD age
Just got off the phone with a client whom attained age 70 1/2…He wanted to tell me that he is sending me back his RMD forms and was very thankful for helping him through this process…he offered to buy me lunch next time I am in the city. I’m thinking Arby’s.
Crash Proof Retirement Event: Harry’s Savoy Grille 1/30/2013
The event in Wilmington this week was an overwhelming success. Over 180 Delaware residents came out to receive a Crash Proof education, and Phil Cannella and Joann Small couldn’t have been more delighted to see them, as many were loyal listeners to our prized Crash Proof Retirement Show. Stringer and his production crew put on a great presentation, as always. And Keith was able to employ the newest production equipment, the jib, or what I most affectionately refer to as the “jig.” And sure enough Read More +
Kudos to Phil Cannella and Joann Small for the Feast!
Kudos to Phil Cannella and Joann Small for the feast in the office today! Just after finishing my delicious turkey BLT from Panera Bread I thought it would be a good time to thank Phil Cannella for buying the office lunch today. However, as we all know, Phil can be very elusive in the busy hours of the work day. So rather than hunt him down, I figured this would be a great opportunity to write the site’s first Kudos. So here goes! Kudos to Read More +
William Penn Inn Educational Event Recap
For those of you who did not get a chance to attend the Educational Event that Phil and Joann hosted this week, there were some interesting changes that were put in place. First, big shout out to the three fellas in the production crew! They put together a really nice introduction video to be showed at the events, which gives a brief summary of what the firm is about and then introduces Joann Small as the CEO of First Senior Financial Group. The crowd got Read More +
IRA Training
I just completed my continuing IRA training, along with some of my coworkers. It was great getting the opportunity to learn more about IRAs, and I know that it will help me write better articles for our newsletter and website. I was also happy to learn more about this topic because it will definitely help me plan when I go to retire. The classes lasted 2 days, 8 hours each day of intensive, detailed IRA studies that really got into the details that most people Read More +
